Ingredients for kurkuri bhindi recipe in hindi
About 250 grams of Okra
5 tbsp. of besan gram flour
1 tbsp. of rice flour
½ tsp of garam Masala
½ tsp of carom seeds
½ tsp of turmeric
Red chilli powder as per taste
Salt as per taste
Lemon if required

How to prepare bhindi 

Choose only the long bharwa bhindi for the dish. Wash all the okras and pat dry using paper. Cut them either into 4 pieces or two pieces. If needed, remove the seeds from the okras.




Add all the bhindi slices into a large bowl. Add besan, garam Masala, rice flour, red chilli powder, carom seeds and turmeric. Mix them well.

Also, add mustard oil to it. Mix all of the ingredients so that Masala gets inside the bhindi. Rub the okra slices with oil and masalas. Leave the mixture for about 10 minutes. Bake it after keeping it for some time.

Either take a large baking tray or two medium-sized trays and cover it with aluminium foil. Spray oil ideally on the foil.

Keep all the okra pieces on a single layer of foil. Bake the okras at 400o Keep the oven preheated for 15 minutes. Bake the okras for about 20 minutes until they are golden brown.



Remove the tray and let the okras rest for 15 minutes. Sprinkle salt on the okras for the taste.

After transferring it to the serving plates, you can sprinkle lemon juice. This will bring a tanginess to the dish.
