Kids are kind of obsessed with the burgers. However, the market burgers are usually made of maida (flour) that are clearly unhealthy for the little ones.
Don’t worry! we have come up with a healthy alternative, which is ‘Sooji / Rava Burger Buns’. A perfect snack item to serve in the morning breakfast or as an afternoon tea time snack. In between these rava buns, there will be fried crispy aloo Tikki. The process of making this recipe is very simple and easy. You kids are surely going to love it due to the versatile flavors and crispiness. Hope you will give it a try and kindly let me know your suggestion, opinions, and feedback on it.

- Peas- half small cup
- Potatoes- 3-4 boiled
- Mango Powder- 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric Powder- 2-3 teaspoons
- Salt- As per required
- Onions- 3 ( chopped)
Tips and Suggestions
- Do not over mix the batter of Rava/sooji or over mashed the potatoes as it might not be able to shape up properly.
- You can prepare the green chutney with it.
- Do not overheat the pan as it might burn up the oil for tikkie.
Instructions
- Firstly, we will start with the preparation bun’s batter. Mix Rava/sooji and curd. Stir until it gets formed in a medium thick batter.
-
- Cover the batter and leave it for 5-10 minutes rest.
- Now, it’s time for the preparation of aloo Tikki. Peel out the potatoes and mash it.
- Put the mashed potatoes and pea on the heating pan. Add turmeric and stir it all. Also, put the chopped onions on it.
- After that, heat up the kadhai and then add oil to it. Put the mashed aloo mixture and cook it for 5-7 minutes on medium flame. Put it aside for rest.
- Now, put the Rava batter in steel bowls ( just fill half of it). And then put the cups inside the steamer. Cook it for 15 minutes.
- Next, you have to make a circular-shaped tikkie (unfried) and put it in between Rava ( cut a single Rava/sooji in two halves).
- Heat up the pan and glide butter on it. Then put the buns and cover it for a few minutes and flip it. They will be prepared whenever they get brownish or goldish.
- Serve it fresh, hot, and with ketchup or chutney.
