My boys asked what a pop tart was so I said, let me show you! I jumped into the kitchen to make them keto homemade pop tarts!

Ingredients required for Keto Pop-Tarts:

2 ¼ cups Almond flour

½  cup coconut flour

¼  cup erythritol

2 ½ teaspoons xanthan gum

⅓  Cup + 1 tbsp. Unsweetened Almond Milk

3.5 oz. Unsalted Butter

½  tablespoon Apple cider vinegar

FILLING

6 tablespoons Sugar-free chia seed jam

6 tablespoons Cream Cheese

TO DECORATE

¼ cup sugar-free powdered sweetener

1/2-1 tablespoon Unsweetened Almond Milk

 

  How to prepare Keto pop tart recipe:

1   Firstly, we have to preheat our at 180C and then grease a baking tray with melted butter or cooking spray and add parchment paper on it and grease it too.

2   Take a large bowl and add all the dry ingredients almond flour, coconut flour, xanthan gum and sugar-free sweetener and mix well till well combined.

3   Now we have to add unsweetened almond milk, melted butter and apple cider vinegar and mix well.

4   With your hands knead the dough till you shape a ball.

5   Now we have to wrap this dough into a piece of parchment paper and freeze it for around 10 to 15 minutes.

6   Now we have to remove the dough from the freezer and divide the dough in half.

7    Into the between of the parchment paper Roll out one piece of dough into a thick rectangle and then roll out the other piece of dough well.

8   We will get a total of 16 small rectangles. If you want to make larger tarts we have to double the size of each rectangle.

9    Now we have to place this rectangle into the baking tray and we have to spread cream cheese into the centre of each rectangle dough.

10   Now top with chia seeds jam into each rectangle dough and then we have to lay down other rectangle dough over the filling and seal the edges with the help of your fingers by pressing it.

11    Now in a small bowl add beaten egg and unsweetened almond milk and stir well.

12    Now with the help of a brush top the dough with this batter.

13   Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes or till the crust is golden brown.

14   Take a small bowl adds sugar-free powdered sweetener with almond milk and mix well till well combined.

15   Now we have to cool the tarts for around one to two hours.

16   Drizzle the glazing onto the cold pop tarts.
